HATE COLD WEATHER

Filed under: Blog — admin @ 1:40 pm

I had a really rough day at work and then came home to find the babysitter let the kids make a big mess and didn’t clean it up.  My husband and I have both been working hard this past week.  He is in the military and is training a new batch of young guys.  He has been working long hours and then comes home and helps with our three kids.  He always enjoys giving the kids their baths, tucking them in and telling them a goodnight story.  My job has been hectic these last few weeks as I am working in a department store and the holidays are always so busy and we all put in extra hours.   I was sitting with my feet up, when my husband got home. He was waving some papers around; I yawned and said I would read them in a few minutes.   When I read the papers I couldn’t believe my eyes!  He got orders for a military relocation to Alaska.  Alaska!  I hate the cold weather.   I was born and raised in Arizona and didn’t see snow until I was twenty-five.  Now we would be living in Alaska for four years!  I was saying, “no, no, no” when I felt my husband shaking my shoulders.  I was dreaming.  We are not moving to Alaska after all.  My husband brought home a copy of a recipe I had asked my neighbor for, Baked Alaska.
